Optical System & Encoding Principle
The encoder adopts a high-resolution optical scanning system. As the reading head moves along the scale, it detects the graduation patterns and converts them into accurate position feedback signals.
The scale uses advanced optical encoding, mainly Gray code. Compared with natural binary code, Gray code allows only one bit to change between adjacent positions, which effectively reduces signal reading errors during high-speed movement and improves system stability.

The resolution of an absolute optical encoder depends on the density of the graduation markings on the scale. Finer graduations provide higher resolution and improved positioning accuracy. Resolution is usually expressed in bits or Counts Per Revolution (CPR).
